ON THE WINDS OF GOD

In a noisy world where words are spoken carelessly and opinions fly endlessly, God’s Word remains the only source of true life, direction, and stability.

This truth anchored our midweek service as we explored the message “On the Winds of the God” The teaching drew our attention to the power of words, the life-giving nature of God’s Word, and the urgent call to build our lives around divine truth.

Bible Text: John 6:63

📖 WORDS ARE SPIRIT

Jesus declares:

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” — John 6:6

From the onset, we were reminded that words are not ordinary, they are spirit. This means what we say, how we say it, when we say it, and who we say it to matters deeply. Words carry power, direction, and consequence.

As believers, we must be intentional with our speech because words can either align us with life or pull us away from it.

📖 WE ARE PRODUCTS OF THE WORD

Scripture reveals that creation itself was formed by the Word.

Genesis 1:26 shows God speaking man into existence.

John 1:1 affirms that the Word existed with God and was God.

This means our existence is rooted in the Word. To live without the Word is to live disconnected from the very source that formed us. Simply put, to live without the Word is to live without life.

📖 RECEIVING THE WORD IS RECEIVING CHRIST

The message further emphasized that our relationship with Jesus is inseparable from our relationship with the Word.

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God…” — John 1:11–13

Every time we receive Jesus, we receive the Word. And every time we reject the Word, we reject life itself. This reveals a sobering truth: living outside the Word is a threat to spiritual life.

📖 Relationship With the Word Equals Relationship With God.

A strong statement from the teaching was this:

“If you don’t have a relationship with the Word of God, you don’t have one with God.”

God has chosen to reveal Himself through His Word. Therefore, our lives must revolve around the Word—not casually, but through obedience. The Word is not merely to be heard; it is to be lived.

The Word Produces Faith and Stability and here are scriptures that consistently points to the Word as the foundation of faith and spiritual strength:

Psalm 107:20 — God sends His Word to heal and deliver.

Romans 10:17 — Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

Hebrews 11:1 — Faith gives substance to hope.

Hebrews 11:6 — Without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Through the Word, we discover our place in God’s plan and learn how to take our place in faith.

📖 A SETTLED WORD FOR A SETTLED LIFE.

“Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.” — Psalm 119:89

We were reminded that a settled life flows from a settled Word. When God’s Word is established in our hearts, confusion loses its grip, and rest becomes possible.

📖 The Word Ignites Spiritual Fire and Sustains Joy.

“In Your presence is fullness of joy.” — Psalm 16:11

When we rest on the Word, our rest is assured. Obedience leads to enjoyment, and intimacy with God deepens through consistent engagement with His Word.

📖 Every Encounter With the Word Is an Encounter With Life.

One of the most striking reminders from the message is that every contact with the Word is a contact with life. The Word revives, corrects, strengthens, and directs. It is through continual exposure to God’s Word that spiritual vitality is sustained.

A MOMENT TO REFLECTION 💭

How intentional are you with the words you speak?

Does your life revolve around God’s Word or convenience?

Is your relationship with the Word consistent and growing?

TAKE A MOMENT TO SAY THIS PRAYER 🙏

Lord, let my hunger and thirst for Your Word increase. Draw me deeper into Your truth, and help me to live in obedience to Your Word. Let every encounter with Your Word bring life, strength, and direction to me. Amen.

DECLARE THIS WITH US

I live by the Word of God. My life is aligned with divine truth, my faith is strengthened through the Word, and I walk in rest, joy, and obedience, in Jesus’ name.
